Finally showed what he is capable of with Aldershot in 2007/08, Hudson's challenge is to now maintain that form a division higher
The sprightly Essex striker began his career at Ipswich Town before relocating to Glasgow to join Celtic’s academy. Failure at Parkhead saw Hudson return south to endure equally unsuccessful spells at Southend and Bournemouth before he linked up with Aldershot in Janaury 2006.
They too were unconvinced at first – shipping him out to Ashford Town at one stage – but the skilful and nippy forward finally showed what he was capable of midway through 2007/08.
His nine goals in 16 games between December and April helped Town maintain their assault on the Conference title, earning him the February 2008 Player of the Month gong and a two-year contract extension.
