Davenport is looking to play regular football, having scored his first goal for the Hammers in the 4-1 win over Blackburn in September
The Bedford-born defender signed for the Hammers for an undisclosed fee from Tottenham in January 2007.
Davenport started his professional career at Coventry City, progressing through the youth ranks. He is a two time FA Youth Cup runner up most notably being the youngest player on the pitch in a 6-0 drubbing by a Joe Cole inspired West Ham side in 1999.
Davenport did eventually make the first team squad, making his debut as a second half substitute against Bradford City on the final day of the 2000/01 season. He went onto make 84 first team appearances for the club before being sold to Tottenham in 2004 for £1.1 million, possibly rising to £3 million.
However he was immediately sent out on loan to West Ham. He went onto make 10 appearances in his first stint at the club before Tottenham called him back. Davenport also had further loan spells at Norwich and Southampton after making his Spurs debut in a 1-0 defeat at Aston Villa.
Martin Jol gave him more regular opportunities in the 2006/07 season but ultimately the successful partnership of Ledley King and Michael Dawson proved to be costly for Calum and so he left for a permanent move to the Hammers.
Life at West Ham has proved to be frustrating so far for the youngster mainly down to injuries. He did go out on loan to Watford in order to get his match fitness back but fractured his neck on his debut which sidelined him until July 2008.
